How do I help clients live a richer life?
With so much personal finance information freely available online, clients can spend day and night self-educating and researching. The problem is that almost every individual or family has a unique set of aspirations, resources, and challenges. I find that clients don’t want more data—they want less noise; more simplification and clarity. They want to organize their resources across an array of unlimited choices so they can be their best selves. And every client has a story: where they came from, how they got here, and where they hope to go. It’s my responsibility to discover that story and build a financial plan that helps them get the best life possible with the resources they have.
How do I spend my time outside of Brighton Jones?
As a Seattle native, I love getting outdoors—taking hikes, riding my mountain bike, and boogie boarding on the coast. I played soccer most of my life; now I’m a referee and enthusiastic Sounders fan. I love spending time with my three nearly-grown children and escaping for an evening or weekend of wine tasting with my wife.
