How do I help our clients live a richer life?
At Brighton Jones, we are driven by a desire to help our clients, colleagues, and community members live richer lives that extend far beyond financial wellbeing.

When Charles and I founded Brighton Jones, we pioneered the Personal CFO approach to wealth management. While other firms were only focused on clients’ investment accounts, we were managing clients’ entire balance sheets. Financial wellbeing and serving as our clients’ Personal CFO is in our DNA and will always be the foundation of our service offering. But if our mission is to help our clients live a richer life, then there’s more for us to do.

We stand at the intersection of life and wealth, and can’t help but influence the emotional and social wellbeing of our clients, as well. We share in the joy of marriages, new homes, birth announcements, and retirements, and provide counsel after job loss, divorce, illness, and death. It’s a role that neither I nor the team take lightly. I love having the opportunity to support and encourage clients to embrace the bigger picture, focus on the whole person, and understand that true happiness goes well beyond the bottom line.

How do I spend my time outside of Brighton Jones?
One of my favorite quotes is Gandhi’s “Live as if you were to die tomorrow, learn as if you were to live forever” and I try to fill each day with the people who make my life richer: my wife and four children. Our greatest joy as a family comes when we’re traveling or trying out new things together, whether that’s exploring the natural beauty of East Africa or discovering new restaurants in Seattle. I also enjoy spending time with friends on the golf course or taking in a Mariners game.

I’m passionate about building community networks that include our team and clients, with everyone contributing time and treasure to both local and global causes. I’m an active supporter of several organizations and institutions in Kenya, including the Ruben Centre, Kajiado Childcare Centre, and Grace NaNaNa, and U.S.-based ones such as Childhaven, The Healing Center, the Positive Coaching Alliance, and my alma mater, Washington State University (Go Cougs!).
