From Farm to Coffee Cup: Brewing a Sustainable Future

May 31, 2023

Can your purchases really make a difference? Learn about the challenges that coffee farmers are facing, and how one of America’s leading roasters is creating a roadmap for environmental and socioeconomic sustainability.

Join us for a conversation with Shauna Alexander, VP of Coffee and Sustainability at Stumptown Coffee Roasters, and Carlos de Valdenebro, Vice President and Managing Director of Caravela Coffee. We will explore the coffee supply chain — from the complex economics of small scale coffee production to the impact of climate change on the taste of your morning cup.

Stumptown is committed to quality — not only in their coffee but in their relationships with coffee producers and our planet. They work hard to understand the key challenges jeopardizing coffee communities’ well-being, and to ensure that their business model is part of the solution. A long-time partner of Stumptown, Caravela Coffee is a B-Corp certified company with export operations across Latin America. Every year, Caravela teaches more than 2,000 coffee producers how to increase productivity and quality so they can be more independently profitable.

During this webinar, we will:

  • Learn about Stumptown’s Direct Trade model and how it supports a healthy supply chain
  • Learn about the impacts of a warming planet on coffee production
  • Discuss how we can help farmers live a richer life with the choices we make at the grocery store
