Brighton Jones was founded on the fundamental belief that wealth management should be about more than growing and protecting wealth—it empowers people to live a richer life.
That vision has helped us become a leader in our industry, but it’s also the reason we continue to look beyond finances to address the bigger challenges facing our clients. It’s led us to take steps that have earned us more than a few raised eyebrows from our peers. Financial education for young adults? Mindfulness training for advisors? Hiring a Director of Compassion?
Why are we not content to “stay in our lane?” Because we think the lane needs to be wider. Delivering the best, most comprehensive wealth management services will always be at the core of what we do, but our goal is bigger than your financial security.

Beyond the Balance Sheet
In addition to helping our clients achieve their personal social impact goals through our legacy planning services, Brighton Jones is active in our local communities with our time and treasure.
Because we like to blur the lines between ”colleague” and “client” activities, you’ll often find our employees and clients volunteering, traveling, and learning together.
Unlike many corporate impact programs, we define success not by a top-down declaration of what’s important, but by how much we can help each individual define, connect with, and move the needle on the causes he or she cares about.
1% for Compassion
We have pledged to donate one percent of our revenues to charitable programs and non-profits. These funds are distributed by employee philanthropy committees, which research and support the most effective non-profits as well as the organizations with which our employees and clients engage.
Compassion in Action
Compassion in Action promotes employee engagement in the community by offering benefits such as:
- Unlimited time off for volunteering
- Volunteer hours matched at $25/hour
- A generous match program for donations
- “The Giving Game,” where individuals “pitch” organizations to an audience of employee donors
- Non-profit board member training
The Brighton Jones Global Guesthouse was our first Global Compassion Project. The guesthouse provides a place for international and domestic volunteers to stay while they provide much-needed support to GRACE Nanana and Kajiado Child Care Centre, both located in rural Kajiado County. The guesthouse was officially opened in January 2018. With 16 bunk-beds in dormitory-style rooms and 3 private, double rooms, the guesthouse can comfortably house up to 22 guests for short or extended stays.
